which seem most strange and
quaint. All Hallows’ Barking
was founded by the Abbey of
Barking in Essex. St. Andrew
Hubbard is called in ancient
documents. ‘ Hubert,” which
was no doubt the name of a
benefactor, restorer, or rebuilder,
who lived before the reign of
Henry III. ‘‘ Undershaft,” the

name of another St. Andrew’s,
