One of the paramount cendiderations in German polLiey
is the European part ef it. The men ia pewer in Bonn today are
men whe fully support tue idea of the United States of Europe.
They see in it net so mueh a dream for the future as a means to
a practical end : namely the western rearmament in face ef the
ever-rising Seviet threat. Germans today are ready fer anything,
if it ean only awaken the rest of Burope for tie grave dangers
they see ahead. ;
This awareness eff the dangers is probably at present the
most encouraging sign. It should be used by the West nowe
