There is no doubt for any serious observer, that the riots were organized as a sort of general manoeuvre of the Communist forces in preparation for further actions. It is a regrettable fact that the Gyptians are to lax in their reaction, TheEGyptian Police watches now incessantly the Poles at atime when the Russian Enbassy has now taken the preparations for the next step into their own hands. Furthermore the Police is not doing enough to find the net of Communist underground agents. This net cer= tainly has few members ; there are very few Communists in Egypt. But as was proven during the riots one Communist agent can easily lead a mob of hundred men towards aims and destinies they dont know themselves. This is the danger, The danger is even greater . by the lack of reliability of the uniformed Police, On the other hend the Army is safe, In this preparation for further actions, the Communists have the help of a certain number of German Technicians in Egypt. These Germans, former Nazis, are now pouring into the country and take over many jobs vacated by Britishers, Many of them are in sympathy with the East German Govermement or belong to the Bast German Intelligence Corps. They thus work with the Communists. These Germens have prominent positions and enjoy a great measure of public confidence, They are one of the greatest danGers. On the other hand it should be understood, that the great masses of the Egyptian People are absolutely hostile to Communism, All those who have gone through the great riots will never forget the innumerabme signs of human kindness and heroic help given Europeans by simple Ezggptians, workers, beggars etce These fom a strong base on which to build, If used by those in power thgy can be an effective dyke against future dangers. 46.
